The Idea
What is The E-San Gate?
The E-San Gate is a cultural village and open-air marketplace on the Khao Yai route — the first stop where travellers heading into Isan pause, eat, shop local craft and spend an afternoon. Inspired by Baan Kang Wat in Chiang Mai, it is built around walking, shade and greenery instead of a standard commercial block: old buildings reused, mature trees kept, and shops chosen to tell a local story.

Existing buildings, mature trees, internal roads and parking are reused and refreshed rather than demolished.

The Location — Khao Yai
The site sits directly on the main Khao Yai road, inside a tourist cluster that already draws weekend traffic, with a mountain line behind it and large existing trees across the land.

A ridgeline on every side and the original green kept intact — the big trees stay.
